Arc 1600 is a historical Tarentaise valley third generation resort and a gateway to one of the most famous ski areas in the Alps.

Arc 1600, a pioneering station

The first stone of Arc 1600 was laid in 1968. The buildings, which are perfectly integrated into the mountains, are the work of a team of renowned architects including Charlotte Perriand. This unique architecture, that uses traditional materials and modern lines, has been declared a "20th Century Heritage". Since 1989, Arc 1600 has been linked to Bourg-Saint-Maurice by a funicular. With its numerous types of accommodation and shops, Arc 1600 is considered to be the family village of Les Arcs.

The Arc 1600 ski area

The Arc 1600 resort is surrounded by blue pistes that wind between the larches: ideal for beginners or family downhill skiing. Experienced skiers can rest assured that they will quickly reach the vast Les Arcs ski area, which has about a hundred pistes. It has18 black, 34 red, 54 blue and 1 green piste so that all skiers and snowboarders will find their challenge.

As for freestylers, they can head for Arc 1600 where there is a snowpark with features for all levels. For freeriders, there are 10 secure pistes where you can delight in the joys of skiing in powder snow. Cross-country skiing is not to be outdone with 68 km of groomed pistes for diagonal stride and ski skating. You can also take the Vanoise Express cable car to get to La Plagne.
