Ski rental Arc 2000

At the summit of the Vanoise massif, Arc 2000 is a pedestrian resort with a breath-taking view of Mont Blanc.

Arc 2000, a sports resort

Arc 2000 is located at the foot of the Aiguilles-Rouges and has been a haven for experienced skiers since it was built in 1973. The altitude makes it a destination with optimal snow cover. This 3rd generation station is composed of imposing buildings designed by Jean Prouvé, assisted by Reiko Hayama. As for Charlotte Perriand, she imagined a semi-detached studio for the residences in the resort. It was during the 1992 Olympic Games that Arc 2000 revealed its ideal skiing conditions to the world. In fact, it was here that the flying kilometre took place on a piste that can still be skied.

The Arc 2000 ski area

The Arc 2000 resort is particularly popular with freeride enthusiasts. Snowfall is actually frequent and powder snow is never lacking on the black pistes that descend from the summit of Aiguilles-Rouges. There are also nice gentle slopes, perfect for beginners to enjoy the high mountain atmosphere that reigns in Arc 2000. Don't hesitate to explore the 210 km of slopes in Les Arcs, divided into 1 green, 54 blue, 34 red and 18 black pistes. You can also ski the 225 km of La Plagne with the Paradiski pass.

If you like freestyle, there are two boarder gliss courses at your disposal at Arc 2000, so that young and old can discover a new way of skiing. To improve your tricks, use the Arc 1600 snowpark features. There is also a 3.5 km mountain-top toboggan run (Rodéo Park) at Arc 2000.

Things to discover in Arc 2000

If you choose Arc 2000 for your skiing holiday, take the time to climb to the summit of Aiguille-Rouges, at an altitude of 3,228 metres, to admire a magnificent panorama of the Alps. Back in the village, put on your ice skates and carve a few figures on the natural ice rink which is traditionally installed in the heart of the village.

Arc 2000 is the highest village in Les Arcs and a resort that freeride enthusiasts are partial to, but which also appeals to beginner skiers looking for a sporting holiday.
